With the Fan Wall feature, users of your application will be able to post comments and/or photos to discuss among themselves.
This feature is highly custimizable and can be used as a simple wall of news or as an advanced Facebook-like service.
Settings
Click on the Social Wall feature to add the feature.
Select the Settings tab.
Enter the moderator's email address (or mailing list) in Admin emails.
Set the Near me radius. It will allow a user to display on the comments/photos from users around them.
Features
Check Enable nearby to sort news/posts by distance.
Check Enable map to display a map of news/posts.
Check Enable gallery to display post images in a gallery format.
Check Enable user likes, Enable user posts, and Enable user comments to turn on those features; they work like other social networks.
Click Save.
Photo Options
Adjust Position, Display mode, and Max pictures allowed.
Click Save.
Custom Icons
The feature has a set of default icons for each of the functions (Posts, Nearby, Maps, Gallery, and Write a post):
Optionally customize the icons:
Upload files (64x64 pixels) to the various custom icon positions.
Click Save.
Design
Edit the feature's background in the Design tab.
Click Save.
Add Posts
From the Portal
It is possible to add, edit, and delete user posts from the web interface. If Enable user posts is unchecked (see above), the editor is the only place to create a post.
Under the Posts tab in the Create a Post section, click on +.
Enter the Title.
Create the body of your post in the Text Editor.
Click Add a picture to attach a file.
Click Save.
From the App
Users must have an account to post to the Social Wall.
Open the feature in the app.
To create a new post, clic the Pen (or customized) icon.
Enter the text and attach an image. If GPS is enabled and activated on the device, the post can be tied to a location by clicking the marker icon.
Users will then be able to Like or Comment (if those functions are enabled).
Posts can also be Reported or Blocked.
Users can only Edit and Delete their own posts.
Use the Nearby function will allow users to find posts near them.
The Map function will place those posts on a map. Clicking on the markers will display the post.
If the device has GPS issues, the Nearby and Map functions will display an error.
Manage Contents
Manage your news in the portal under the Posts tab and Manage Posts section.
Edit the post.
Click the Pin to pin the post to the top of the user feed.
